Xiaomi Band 7 and Redmi Buds 4 are out. Here are the characteristics, prices and dates

Share

Xiaomi Mi Band has been the main representative of the entire fitness tracker industry for many years. It is inexpensive, looks good and offers a wide range of options for any user. And most importantly, it works without recharging for several weeks.

Therefore, every year we wait for a new tracker almost more than any other phone to see what Xiaomi will offer us this time. The interesting thing is that almost every year the company manages to surprise us.

Now the seventh generation of the tracker has come out and it also showed very worthy characteristics.

Xiaomi without Mi

In addition to the tracker, a new Redmi Note 11T phone was also shown at the presentation, but, as I said, the tracker was much more expected, and it turned out to be more interesting than the next smartphone.

Moreover, it did not even become the first in the new series. Therefore, it is better to understand what this tracker is.

I must say right away that everything was confirmed, and now it is not called Xiaomi Mi Band 7, but simply Xiaomi Band 7.

The company is massively moving away from the Mi prefix in the name of its products. Examples are Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi Pad 5 and many other products.

Xiaomi Band 7 released

Xiaomi released the Band 7 in two flavors dubbed Band 7 and Band 7 NFC . From the name it is easy to guess what exactly is the difference between them. Moreover, we observed a similar approach last year.

Specifications of Xiaomi Band 7

Otherwise, both smart wearables feature 1.62-inch AMOLED displays with 192 x 490 pixels resolution , 326 PPI pixel density, and 500 nits peak brightness .

The tracker has an Always-On display function, as well as dynamic Mars wallpapers, such as those available in MIUI 13. The design of the smart bracelet is similar to the Mi Band 6 and weighs only 13.5 grams .

It’s nice that the tracker has retained its appearance.

Band 7 comes with Xiao AI assistant and has 120 sports modes, including four professional ones with activity tracking, data analysis and many other built-in features for comprehensive monitoring of the user’s health and what they are doing.

In terms of health-related features, the smartband offers all-day blood oxygen monitoring and alerts the wearer if blood oxygen levels fall below 90%. In addition, the device comes with a heart rate tracker and a sleep tracker capable of providing data such as sleep breathing quality, REM, and sleep time quality. It also offers stress monitoring, women’s health tracking, and PAI (personal activity analysis).

Band 7 comes with a large 180 mAh battery that can last up to 15 days on a single charge . If the load is more intense, the operating time will predictably decrease. It is reported that in this case it will be about 9 days. For charging, a magnetic charger is used, like its predecessors.

There were rumors that Xiaomi Band 7 would be like this, but it’s good that it didn’t work out.

How much does Xiaomi Band 7 cost?

The Xiaomi Band 7 variant with NFC costs 299 yuan (approximately $43), and the Band 7 variant without NFC costs 249 yuan (approximately $36). So far, the tracker is only available for pre-order and only in China.

As we expected based on the information that was before, the gadget will go on sale next week – May 31st.

History of Xiaomi trackers

The tracker from Xiaomi has really always aroused interest since it came out in its first generation. Then it did not even have a screen, displaying information only in the application or due to several LEDs on the case. But even then it demonstrated the possibilities of work for several weeks.

Later, models with screens appeared, then the screens became colored, and after that the gadget began to acquire functions that we had not even dreamed of before. Now we have received another breakthrough and have already begun to wait for what they will show us in a year.

New Redmi headphones

In addition to the tracker, Xiaomi also released Redmi Buds 4 Pro headphones , which are equipped with an intelligent noise reduction system that suppresses noise up to 43 dB. The headphones are IP54 rated, so they are sweat and rain resistant.

The sound is emitted by a combination of a 10mm driver and a 6mm tweeter. Headphones support Bluetooth 5.3 and provide a delay of only 59 ms. Xiaomi says you can get 9 hours of continuous use without ANC, and the case provides an additional 36 hours.

The new headphones turned out to be interesting.

The Redmi Buds 4 Pro are available for pre-order in white and black for 369 yuan . They go on sale May 31st. The Redmi Buds 4 also offer active noise cancellation, but with a lower rating of 35dB. Each earbud is equipped with a 10mm driver, and the connection is via Bluetooth 5.2.

The case provides an additional 30 hours of recharging. They will cost 199 yuan (about $29). Deliveries will begin May 31st.

In the global market, these devices are likely to appear towards the end of the year. In order not to miss the launch, subscribe to our Telegram news channel.
