According to reports from Chinese sources, Xiaomi has carried out a reorganization in the company’s structure. This is the story of a document published the day before. It follows that the Xiaomi product department is merging with the Redmi product department, thus forming the “mobile products” department.
This new entity includes three divisions: Xiaomi, Redmi and Pad. The reshuffle will fill the vacancy of outgoing vice president Chang Cheng on the one hand, while strengthening collaboration across departments that is more flexible than ever, the company says.
From the point of view of buyers and existing Xiaomi sub-brands, no changes are expected.
