Windows has learned to recognize and copy text from pictures (Really useful feature)

Not all Windows users are aware of the existence of PowerToys, a collection of small but useful utilities that expand the capabilities of the operating system. Microsoft recently released another update of this application, which found a lot of interesting things.

Version 0.62.0 offers 3 new utilities at once. The coolest one is called TextExtractor. It allows you to select text from an image and copy it into a text document. Incredibly convenient, however, it is still unclear what languages the utility currently supports, except for English.

Another option called Screen Ruler is a virtual ruler with which you can measure the distance between pixels on the screen and not only. You can adjust the sensitivity to detect angles and the color of the ruler.

Well, the third utility – Quick Accent – makes it possible to enter letters with various kinds of icons above them after holding the button for a long time. For Russian-speaking users, it can be useful for setting stresses. You can download and try PowerToys from GitHub .
