Microsoft announced that it will introduce a new feature in Windows 11 – security auditing to track suspicious application activity, in particular, when a particular program tries to access the computer’s microphone and camera.

At the moment, the function is implemented in the preliminary assembly of the OS on the Dev Channel. In addition to auditing, the feature will display warning messages to the user if applications attempt to gain unauthorized access to the device.

You can enable it in the system settings by selecting the “Privacy and security” option, then the “Application permissions” section. In this section, you can monitor the activity of applications, including attempts to access computer hardware.
