Recently, Google introduced the mid-range smartphone Pixel 6a. Edition Notebookcheck has published its rating of smartphones, which, according to the authors, are better than this new product.
The first on the list is also a Google smartphone – the Pixel 5 5G model. The compact phone has the same camera system as the Pixel 6a, 8GB of RAM and a 6-inch 90Hz OLED display.
Of course, it will stop receiving Android updates earlier than the Pixel 6a, but you can install custom firmware. The old phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, not the proprietary Tensor. In addition, the Pixel 5 uses a bioresin-coated aluminum frame.
Next on the list is the Samsung Galaxy S20. It was released two years ago, but that doesn’t make it any less functional.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 and Exynos 990 processors perform well, though the Snapdragon variant is head and shoulders above its sibling.
The Galaxy S20’s AMOLED panel is as bright as it needs to be, and it also supports 120Hz, unlike the Pixel 6a.
The list didn’t go without the Apple iPhone 11 either. The Apple A13 Bionic processor is still powerful enough for 2022.
Like the Pixel 6a, the iPhone 11 has a 1/2.55-inch main camera sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle module.
In addition, the iPhone 11 will likely continue to receive iOS updates long after the latest Android update arrives on the Google Pixel 6a.
