There were some rumors that the top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus will be installed in the tablet, but this seems rather strange: according to tradition, the company installs pre-top chips or last year’s ones, so I would not hope for a new Snapdragon.
Also, according to rumors, one of the Pad 6 models will also have a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor – that is, thanks to the dual-platform approach, the Pad 6 will be comparable in power to flagship smartphones.
Sounds promising and quite plausible. Also in Xiaomi Pad 6 they will improve the sound by installing a more modern audio system – by the way, in Mi Pad 5 it was definitely no worse than in the iPad. Users will get Android 12 running MIUI 13 right out of the box.

It is difficult to say why the camera is in the tablet at all, but sources say that Xiaomi Pad 6 will be suitable for shooting. The company will follow in the footsteps of Apple and make the camera in the tablet one of the most important modules, giving it more attention, as it did in the iPad with Spotlight technology.
What kind of module we are talking about – frontal or main – there are no details yet. Let me remind you that in last year’s version of Mi Pad 5, the main camera was installed at 13 megapixels, and the front one at 8 megapixels.

Xiaomi Pad 6, contrary to modern trends, will have a battery with a capacity not lower than last year’s. Let me remind you that last year Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 had a battery capacity of 8720 mAh, and Mi Pad 5 Pro – 8600 mAh.
This year, the novelty should get the same battery or better: this is hinted at by rumors that new tablets will install fast charging at 120W instead of 67W. This means that when using a powerful adapter, Pad 6 will charge twice as fast as its predecessor. As you remember, Mi Pad 5 charged up to 50% in half an hour.

Usually permission is obtained in advance. For example, Apple does this about six months before the start of sales. The ECE certification of the tablet was marked 22081283G, which means that the first four digits may indicate the release date of Pad 6 – August 2022.
In principle, this seems to be true: last year, Mi Pad 5 was introduced in early September, and sales began at the end of October. Considering that this year Xiaomi Pad 6 has no competitors in the face of the iPad, it is likely that the new generation will become even more successful, and sales will break the record again.

Judging by the characteristics leaked to the internet, the new tablet from Xiaomi will be really cool. I wonder if the price will change? The chip in the tablet plays an important role here, as well as the updated camera and 144 Hz display – I dare to assume that this year the price, if it changes, is not critical.
Last year, the tablet started at $356, and later the price rose to $600 and even exceeded $647. I would assume that Xiaomi will traditionally give the first buyers a good discount, with which the tablet will cost less than $490.
The Xiaomi Pad 6, unlike iPad, has room for improvement, but it’s definitely one of the most anticipated gadgets of this year. But some devices from other manufacturers, for unknown reasons, remained underestimated.
