The messenger is seriously promoting statuses
WhatsApp continues to expand the functionality of its statuses. Now the messenger has allowed sharing links with previews through them – they look more attractive than ordinary text links.
Currently, when you share a link to a web page through your WhatsApp status, there is no preview as such. The messenger only shows the text of the added link.
However, this may soon change. The screenshot shared by WABetaInfo clearly shows the difference between the current text status update and the one in development.
The new feature will definitely make web page links more enjoyable to browse. It is also noted that the published screenshot was taken from the WhatsApp beta application for iOS. When the option will become available to all users is still unclear.
