What is the capacity of the battery in the iPhone 14?

  • September 12, 2022

Apple is a company that pays very little attention to exact numbers at presentations of its devices. Usually, Cupertinians describe novelties with the words Amazing and Wonderfull, declaring an increase in autonomy by X%, but they rarely name specific technical characteristics so as not to lose in comparison with competitors from the Android world.

But in the end, all the secret becomes clear. MacRumors, referring to the database of the Chinese regulator, published the battery capacity of the new iPhone 14. So, three of the four models in the series increased the battery capacity compared to the previous generation. The only disappointment was the top-end iPhone 14 Pro Max, whose battery, on the contrary, has deteriorated.

Battery capacity in iPhone 14:

  • iPhone 14: 3279 mAh (iPhone 13 had 3227 mAh)
  • iPhone 14 Plus: 4325 mAh
  • iPhone 14 Pro: 3200 mAh (iPhone 13 Pro had 3095 mAh)
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max: 4323 mAh (iPhone 13 Pro Max had 4352 mAh)

According to Apple, all new products work confidently all day on a single charge, and relative to the devices of the previous series, their autonomy has increased by exactly one hour. At the same time, Pro-models have an additional trump card – ProMotion technology, which adjusts the display refresh rate within 1-120 Hz to save energy. For basic iPhones, the screen always works at 60 Hz.

Recall that the start of sales of new iPhones is scheduled for September 16. Only the big iPhone 14 Plus will be released late, and it will be available for order starting October 7th.
