To beat Apple chipsets: Samsung’s ambitious plan and timeline

Share

By announcing plans in April to create its own chipset for Galaxy smartphones, Samsung made it clear that it was not interested in developing the current Exynos on the rightly criticized ARM Cortex cores.

Today, new details of the plan of the Korean tech giant have appeared on the Web. According to @TheGalox_, in July, Samsung Electronics will set up a joint working group for the semiconductor and smartphone division, which will have about 1,000 employees.

Their main goal will be a simple but extremely ambitious task: “by 2025, to prepare a chipset that will surpass Apple Silicon solutions.” Will the Koreans succeed? We will find out in a couple of generations of Galaxy.
