One of the main disadvantages of modern electric vehicles is the long charging time. But the latest development of the American startup Enovix is designed to correct this shortcoming.
The company has reportedly succeeded in creating a battery that boasts record-breaking fast charging speeds. So, its charge is replenished from 0 to 100% in less than 15 minutes. At the same time, it charges up to 98% and does it in 10 minutes.
Representatives of Enovix said that startup engineers are actively working to reduce these indicators. It is planned to achieve the desired with the help of a new battery architecture.
It should be noted that the company is developing its technology under the grant program of the US Department of Energy. If successful, it intends to release a battery not only for electric vehicles, but also for other industries.
