The developers of the theme for MIUI called Grumpy UI showed their version of the “dynamic island”. It displays the cover of the song played in the player, or the icon of the messenger that receives notifications. The widget area can expand, for example, clicking on it opens a window with music controls.
The user can specify the location of the cutout for the front camera so that the widget looks good on different Xiaomi smartphones. The developer promises that in the future he will learn to show the time, date, remaining charge and get integration with other applications.
