If you’re looking to buy a new gaming PC now, this compilation might help. The author of the 3DNews portal has listed the best builds for both the oldest and simplest, as well as the latest projects.
3DNews expert named five options for PC configurations relevant for June 2022. Among them are the starting, basic, optimal, advanced and maximum builds.
The starting configuration allows you to run AAA games in Full HD with a medium preset. It is also quite comfortable in this case to play games that were released 5-7 years ago. This build includes an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or Intel Core i3-10105F processor, 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM, GeForce RTX 1650 or Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics. The cost of the final assembly version (with all other spare parts) will be based on Intel – $970, based on AMD – $930.
The basic assembly option will make it possible to enjoy AAA projects in Full HD at high and maximum settings. Also, such systems do well with games that came out 3 years ago. The specialist offers to purchase an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i3-12100F processor, 16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, and a Radeon RX 6600 video card for assembly. The entire kit will cost $1450 for AMD and $1430 for Intel.
The optimal assembly is suitable for those who are going to play modern AAA projects in Full HD at maximum graphics settings. In this case, you can enable ray tracing and apply upscaling methods. This option includes an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i5-12400F processor, 16 GB DDR4-3600 RAM, a GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card. The price in general will be $2150 with AMD, $2165 with Intel.
The advanced build differs from the rest in that it allows you to run modern AAA games in WQHD with the maximum preset. Also, the configuration allows you to apply ray tracing and upscaling methods. For this, the expert suggests taking an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X or Intel Core i5-12600K processor, 32 GB DDR4-3600 RAM, a GeForce RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6800 video card. All this, along with other elements, will cost $3080 with AMD and $3130 Intel.
Finally, the maximum build will allow you to run absolutely all games at maximum settings in Ultra HD with ray tracing and upscaling methods. This build includes an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X or Intel Core i7-12700KF processor, 32GB DDR4-3600 RAM, GeForce RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics. You can get this configuration option for $4410 (based on AMD) or $4470 (based on Intel).
