Passenger Entertainment
Have you ever used your finger to draw on foggy or frozen windows in a vehicle? What about drawing on the touch screen instead of windows? It is this technology that the Beijing company BOE wants to implement.
According to BOE, these transparent interactive windows use industry-leading transparent OLED display technology.
The screen size is 12.5 inches and the transparency ratio reaches 45%. The windows can be installed both as a front window and as a rear window on the passenger side of the vehicle.
On the glass, you can draw, view navigation data, find out the weather and even take photos. These features are especially attractive for taxi services – there will be something for a passenger to do in a traffic jam.
In addition, BOE offers a business idea: OLED windows can be used as a place for video advertising. When the technology will become commercially available is not yet clear.
