Sennheiser has updated its Momentum headphone line for the first time since 2019. The Momentum 4 model has become a rookie of the family, having received a new design, modern functions and impressive autonomy – up to 60 hours. In addition, the headphones have fallen in price, and at the start of sales they cost $ 50 less than the Momentum 3.
Appearance and features
The Germans abandoned the retro design with the use of metal elements and leather, which has been inherent in the line since its inception. Momentum 4 is made of plastic, and therefore does not look as premium as previous models. But ergonomics have improved significantly – the manufacturer claims that the headphones are as comfortable as possible to wear and can be adjusted to fit any head size.
In addition, Momentum 4 is now foldable, which, coupled with a complete case, greatly simplifies their storage and transportation. Another change was the rejection of physical control buttons – their functions are performed by the touch panel on the right earpiece.
The sound of the Momentum 4 is driven by 42mm drivers, which, together with a finely tuned equalizer and audio personalization function, allow you to achieve optimal sound for every taste.
As befits a flagship model, there is an active noise reduction system and a transparency mode on board. Momentum 4 can adjust the volume to the environment surrounding the owner, as well as filter out voice from noise when using the gadget in headset mode.
As for autonomy, the manufacturer promises up to 60 hours of operation with noise reduction turned on. A 10-minute quick charge will give you another 6 hours of use. For energy efficiency, the headphones are equipped with a full-fledged auto-pause function, in addition, they can be connected by wire. In wireless mode, the multipoint function is available, all current codecs are also supported: AAC, SBC, aptX and aptX Adaptive.
The Sennheiser Momentum 4 is now available for pre-order in Europe for $349. The novelty is available in black and white, shipping to customers will begin on August 23.
