Samsung’s new monitor is made from plastic waste found in the ocean

Now this is not surprising

Recently, gadget manufacturers are increasingly paying attention to their own “green footprint”. Apple, for example, allegedly refused to equip its new smartphones with a complete charging unit because of this.

Not far behind the Cupertino is Samsung. And it’s not just about exactly the same failure of chargers in  flagships. The Korean IT giant has decided to introduce the ViewFinity S8 monitor, which is made from materials obtained from the recycling of plastic waste found in the ocean.

Samsung representatives said that in this way the company wants to help the marine ecosystem and reduce its own impact on the environment.

Among other things, it is worth noting that the brand’s new monitor is aimed at creative professionals. It is presented in two sizes – 32 and 27 inches. ViewFinity S8 supports UHD resolution and VESA DisplayHDR 600.

It is reported that due to its “professionalism”, the novelty has a docking station for desktop computers or laptops.
