The Galaxy S22 and the S22 Plus version will be available in two memory configurations: 8/128 GB and 8/256 GB, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra will have three of them: 8/128 GB, 12/256 GB and 12/512 GB. In select markets there will be a fourth variant with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage, but we do not expect it to be released in Russia.
It is also known that the Galaxy S22 will receive a 6.1-inch screen, Galaxy S22 + – 6.55-inch, and Galaxy S22 Ultra – 6.8-inch. Smartphones will be equipped with 3700 mAh, 4500 mAh and 5000 mAh batteries respectively. The base model supports 25W wired charging, while the others support 45W. There will be wireless and reverse charging functions, but the charger for the flagships will have to be purchased separately.
The front camera in the new generation of smartphones is located in a round hole at the top of the display. Everyone will get Dynamic AMOLED 2X screens with support for a refresh rate of 120 Hz (in the top-end Ultra, it will probably dynamically change in the range from 1 Hz to 120 Hz thanks to the LTPO matrix).
The cameras on the back of the Galaxy S22 and S22+ are the same: 50 MP (f/1.8), 12 MP (f/2.2) with an ultra wide-angle lens, and 10 MP (f/2.4) with a telephoto lens that will provide 3x zoom. The S22 Ultra will offer a set of 108MP + 12MP ultra-wide + 10MP (f/2.4) 3x zoom + 10MP (f/4.9) 10x zoom.
While the camera specs of the Galaxy S22 Ultra aren’t much different from those of the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the Koreans will add a lot of AI-assisted photography technology so that buyers can look forward to a significant boost in photo quality.
Samsung Galaxy S22 price
S22 Ultra in Europe will cost from 1249 euros. The price of the base Galaxy S22 starts at 849 euros , and the Galaxy S22 Plus version will cost at least 1049 euros . The cost of flagships in the Russian market should be slightly lower, we will find out specific numbers on February 9th.
