The young Nothing brand is raising interest in its first smartphone, Nothing Phone (1). So, the other day new teasers of the device were published, and on May 25, Tom Howard, head of design, confirmed long-standing rumors that the phone will have a transparent back cover.
He said that the company wants to “pull out all the insides inside out”, as well as focus on components such as the camera and wireless charging coil. He also said that the frame of the gadget will be made of recycled aluminum.
Here is what Carl Pei, the founder of the company, said about this:
“We’re talking about important components that the end user usually never sees, so we had to overhaul the entire manufacturing process to highlight them.”
The head also added that the goal of Nothing is to create a unique recognizable concept for all brand products and noted that so far only Apple has such a concept.
In addition, insiders revealed the expected date of the presentation of Nothing Phone (1). Journalists report that the gadget will be shown on July 21 , and its price will be about $700 . Recall that in early May, the network has already appeared the alleged characteristics of new items.
