After the merger with Oppo, OnePlus has dramatically changed its product strategy. Since the beginning of 2022, the manufacturer has released only one flagship model, and it turns out that this year the flagship line will be limited to just two smartphones. The latest, OnePlus 10T, which is scheduled to debut in the second half of the year, is unlikely to come as a surprise to us.
According to information provided by insider Max Jambore, the new flagship of the Chinese brand is codenamed “Ovaltin” (this is a milk-chocolate drink – you can learn more about it on Wikipedia). The source also adds that the smartphone will not receive a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor like the OnePlus 10 Pro.
So there are two scenarios. The first is the use of the Dimensity 9000 chip. The second is the transition to the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform. Otherwise, the OnePlus 10T 5G will have a truly flagship set of components.
The smartphone will receive an AMOLED display with an LTPO 2.0 matrix, thanks to which it will be able to update the image at a frequency of 1 Hz to 120 Hz. The screen will have a diagonal of 6.7 inches and Full HD + resolution. The device will be powered by a 4800 mAh battery, which should support wired charging up to 150 watts.
The OnePlus 10T specification also includes – depending on the configuration – 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. In addition, the smartphone will offer a 32-megapixel front camera and a set of lenses on the back: 50-megapixel + 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle + 2-megapixel macro camera. Hasselblad will also work on the optics of this model.
The OnePlus 10T 5G will run Android 12 with OxygenOS 12 interface (outside of China at least). And, unfortunately, this will be the first OnePlus flagship without a sound mode switch on the side.
