Minelli is a Romanian vocalist and songwriter. Before leading the charts in Western and Eastern Europe, she managed to try herself in such projects as Wassabi and Vanotek.
She gained worldwide popularity and fame after the release of the single Rampampam. Each of her official videos is an event in the world of music, as evidenced by millions of views on YouTube.
Childhood and youth
The biography of the artist began 150 km from Bucharest in the small town of Slobozia. Luisa Ionela Luca was born on September 22, 1988. The sign of the zodiac is Virgo.
Minelli dreamed of making music since childhood. To get closer to the goal, the girl went to a music school, regularly sang in the choir. It happened that the young singer gave up, she could not force herself to continue studying, but her parents came to the rescue – supported and pushed their daughter, did not let her give up her dream, for which the star is still grateful to them.
When she was 11 years old, Minnelli formed a band with her brother and they began to perform, first in backyards and later at local events. After graduating from college, the singer went to Bucharest to further develop in the musical direction, and soon got into the Wassabi group.
Music
Working with Wassabi, Minelli gained the necessary experience of public performances, traveled with the group to festivals, but the singer did not leave her dreams of a solo career.
Therefore, despite the warm relationship in the group, in 2009 Minelli left the team. But self-confidence was still not enough to start a solo career, the singer wrote songs for other artists: Mandinga, Horia Brenciu and Markus Schulz. She collaborated with the then-famous Romanian group Morandi – together they recorded the song Reality and Dreams.
In 2013, Minelli, in tandem with the Moldovan artist Vanotek, released the song My Mind, which quickly rose to the top of the charts. And after 4 years, the composition No Sleep topped the Russian music charts.
Finally, in 2017, the performer began work on a solo project. The singer signed a contract with the Global Record label and released her first single – Empty Spaces, which successfully won places in the charts of 12 countries.
Later, the performer, in collaboration with Dave Ramone, released the track Love on Repeat. The track Mariola, released in 2019, took the singer to the very top of the Airplay 100, the Billboard hit parade, and the video broke viewing records.
Sony Music Entertainment acquired a license for this song from the singer and opened Minelli’s way to the international stage: now she could perform not only in her native Romania, but also in Western Europe.
A year later, Minelli and her colleague Inna released the album Discoteka (Remix Bundle). The disc contains 4 dance remixes recorded in collaboration with other musicians.
After the performer released the song Rampampam, which, although not immediately, reached the first lines of the song charts and became viral, and the official video for this song gained millions of views.
Personal life
