Declaring the MacBook Air “the world’s best-selling laptop,” Apple has unveiled its new 2022 model. It has gone through a complete redesign, reminiscent of the recent MacBook Pro 2021, not least due to the on-screen notch.
The case is made of aluminum, weighs 1.22 kg, and does not exceed 11.3 mm in thickness. The display features a 10-bit 13.6″ Liquid Retina Display panel that’s 25% brighter (up to 500 nits). An improved 1080p camera for video calls hides in the notch.

The set of connectors is modest: 3.5 mm on the right side and a pair of Thunderbolt next to MagSafe – on the left. Also, a finger scanner TouchID and 4 stereo speakers with support for Spatial Audio. The heart of the MacBook Air 2022 is the latest Apple M2, coupled with a capacious battery that can provide up to 18 hours of autonomy.
In the maximum configuration, the device will be able to offer 24 GB of RAM and 2 TB of SSD storage. Sales start in July at a minimum price of $1199. There are four colors to choose from: silver, grey, gold and dark blue.
