Instead, displays

According to a new patent, an Apple Car could have displays inside instead of transparent windows.

Apple has filed a patent for an in-vehicle virtual reality (VR) system that matches “virtual views” with the physical movement of a car.

For example, if the car is driving down a hill, the system can project an image that gives the illusion that you are on a roller coaster. The patent also indicates that the seats in the car can move accordingly.

Concept images have also surfaced online. According to the Daily Mail, they caused ridicule from some users: one compared the car to a coffin.

It is not yet clear when Apple will introduce its branded car, if at all. Previously, the company tried to find a partner among automakers, but so far these attempts have not been successful.
