Samsung does not have to resort to copying Apple smartphones, because it is already the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. However, in the case of this new model, it’s hard not to notice the resemblance to the iPhone.
Galaxy A23e looks suspiciously like an iPhone
Samsung was one of the few that ignored the mono-brow trend that reigned among Android manufacturers after the iPhone X premiere. And while the South Korean brand does not shy away from other screen cutout options, the company designs its Galaxy in a (mostly) original way – it’s hard to blame Samsung in Apple copy.
However, in the case of the Galaxy A23e, the situation is different. Renders of this model have appeared on the network, and judging by them, the design of the new smartphone is very similar to the iPhone SE. Of course, this is not a 1:1 copy, but the resemblance is easy to see, especially on the back in the white version.
It should be noted that this design is nothing new in the industry, the Sony Xperia Ace III also has a similar back, but in the case of the Galaxy A23e the similarity is definitely stronger. Whether this is an “accident” or a deliberate strategy, we can only guess.
Specifications Galaxy A23e
The full list of parameters of the upcoming smartphone is still unknown, but we know that it will be equipped with a display with a diagonal of (only!) 5.8 inches – a surprisingly small size for a Galaxy. Thanks to this, he will receive quite compact dimensions – 149.8 × 70.7 × 8.9 mm. By comparison, the iPhone SE 2022 measures 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3mm, so the Apple Compact isn’t much smaller. From this point of view, the visual resemblance seems even more suspicious.
In addition, it is known that the Galaxy A23e will have a fingerprint scanner (on the side) and a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a microSD memory card slot and two SIM card slots. The smartphone will run Android 12 with One UI interface.
At the moment, it is not known in which countries the Galaxy A23e will be released. However, he will wait for his premiere to see how the device looks live – maybe, in fact, it will not turn out to be such an iPhone.
