Liverpool crush Bournemouth with Roberto Firmino’s great performance

With a historic performance this Saturday (27), Liverpool put on a show against Bournemouth and got a 9-0 rout. Roberto Firmino was the great player of the match with three assists and two goals.

In spectacular rotation from the start, the Reds opened the scoring at 3′. Firmino won two markers and managed to trigger Diaz on the second post for the Colombian to test hard and open the scoring.

Three minutes later, Liverpool ‘s second goal came with Eliott starting on the counterattack for Firmino to get close to the area and hit the opposing goalkeeper’s left corner.

At 16′, Salah missed an unbelievable goal in the small area after a sensational setback between Diaz and Firmino on the left. The Egyptian had another chance soon after, stopping in a great save by goalkeeper Travers.

But Liverpool were in great rotation and the rout started to be built from the 28′. Alexander-Arnold scored after shooting with considerable distance to beat the goalkeeper.

Then, Salah crossed on the right and the ball arrived just as Roberto Firmino scored a true bicycle goal on the second post, already consecrating the great performance of the Brazilian.

Before the final whistle, Liverpool scored a historic goal. Van Dijk appeared higher than the defense inside the area after a Robertson cross and tested in the left corner. For the first time in Premier League history, the club scored five goals in 45 minutes.

Liverpool extended the second-half rout

On the return of the break, the advantage of Jurgen Klopp’s men was extended. After Alexander-Arnold’s cross from the right looking for Diaz, Mepham ended up scoring an own goal.

To make his performance even more historic, Roberto Firmino managed to leave his mark for the second time after a great cross from Robertson, disrupting the opposing defense.

The show continued in the second half and Fábio Carvalho scored the eighth after a cross from Alexander-Arnold to Tsimikas, releasing Fábio Carvalho in the area to hit the left corner.

To complete the historic rout, Luis Díaz went to the nets once again after an assist from Tsimikas, who crossed in the measure for the Colombian to finish in the small area and close Liverpool’s show.
