Lucid has unveiled its new flagship electric sedan, the Lucid Air Sapphire, which has a 3-motor design and more than 1,200 horsepower. Such figures already allow Lucid to position the Air Sapphire model not only as the most powerful electric sedan, but also the most powerful sedan in the world in general!
Final technical data has not yet been released, but acceleration of 0-60 mph is expected. (0-97 km / h) in less than 2 seconds and the passage of the “quarter” (402 m) in 9 seconds. All this was realized thanks to the new 3-motor architecture: one electric motor in front and two in the rear – separately for the right and left wheels.
Only the installation of more electric motors was not enough: the Lucid Air Sapphire electric car received an improved engine and battery cooling system, reconfigured suspension, advanced recovery options, etc. In addition, special wheels with carbon aerodynamic discs and Michelin sports tires of different sizes are used – 265/35R20 at the front and 295/30R21 at the rear. Also, the Lucid Air Sapphire electric car will receive powerful carbon-ceramic brakes as standard.
Such a “charged” electric car, of course, should stand out from the outside and in the cabin. For example, it was for Lucid Air Sapphire that Sapphire Blue was first developed. Also, the novelty will receive the Stealth Look package by default, which is offered for an additional fee for other models of the brand. Finally, the Lucid Air Sapphire stands out with interesting features in the cabin: a combination trim with blue stitching, sports seats with massive lateral support, special settings on the displays – for example, lap times.
Impressive? No less than the cost of this electric sedan: from 249 thousand dollars. The Lucid Air Sapphire electric car will be released next year in a limited edition for the US and Canada. So you can start collecting money, such “masterpieces” are rare.
