If you thought 360Hz gaming monitors were overkill for most people, display maker AUO has something that might surprise you. The company showed off two panels with a whopping 480Hz refresh rate.
The panels are available in two sizes: a 24-inch model for desktop monitors and a 16-inch version for laptops. Both panels have Full HD resolution. The desktop display uses a TN panel, which should have a faster response time of less than 1ms. Meanwhile, the laptop display has a response time somewhere between 1ms and 2ms.
Such panels will be installed in consumer products in the near future, but when exactly, was not reported. The price of such devices is also still unknown.
