Instagram will begin requiring users to take video selfies for age verification

And it will also ask others if you told the truth about your age

Instagram has begun testing new ways to verify your age. In addition to simply uploading your passport, there are two more options.

The first option is to take a video selfie. Once the video is ready, it will be shared with Yoti, an age verification company and partner of Instagram. Yoti technology estimates your age based on facial features. The video is then deleted. The process may take 20 minutes.

The second option is for one of the people to vouch for the user being checked. Yes, subscribers will have to tell how old you are. The voucher must be over 18 years of age and not vouch for anyone else at the time.

According to Instagram rules, you must be over 13 years old to use the app.
