A whistleblower revealed on the Chinese social network Weibo that the upcoming Huawei Mate 50 line of smartphones will be equipped with an emergency mode function. It will allow you to make calls even if the battery is low.
This feature will be part of the proprietary HarmonyOS 3.0 operating system. In addition to being able to make calls, users will presumably be able to send text messages and scan documents or location codes.
The source did not explain how Huawei is going to achieve this. It is possible that smartphones will have a small backup battery that is not used for power under normal circumstances.
