Huawei is known for loving experimenting with cameras in its flagships. So Huawei Mate 50 will have exotic optics. This became known thanks to a live image of the device, which was recently published on the Weibo social network.
The device will receive a rear camera of 3 lenses: main, ultra-wide angle and periscope. The key feature of the device should be variable aperture technology. The optics of the main sensor will have movable mechanical “petals” that will allow you to adjust the lens aperture for better night photos or shots with natural background blur. Such a function is practically not found in smartphones, so far only the top-end Sony Xperia Pro-I and the Samsung Galaxy S9 released in 2018 have it.
The exact characteristics of the sensors have not yet been announced, but it is assumed that the periscope will be able to shoot with a 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital. We will find out the exact information on the smartphone on September 6 at the Huawei presentation, where the company should present the Mate 50.
