We previously learned that the power consumption of the RTX 4090 will be 400+ watts. As it turned out, the flagship will not be the only such card in the new generation. According to reliable insider Kopite7kimi, the upcoming RTX 4080 will also hit a TDP of 420W. Much more than the RTX 3080.

With this TDP, the new model will consume 100W more power than the current generation graphics card.

The RTX 4080 is expected to get a new GPU called AD103 and will also use the same board as the RTX 4090 (PG139).

Earlier, the same insider revealed that the RTX 4060 will also have a higher TDP than the current-gen RTX 3070. In this case, TDP will increase by 50 watts.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card may go on sale between September and October this year.
