Experts YouTube channel GameGangsta in one of the releases tested the performance of two video cards (RX 6400 and GTX 1650) in eight modern games. The results are pretty close.
The authors of the GameGangsta channel tested the performance of the RX 6400 and GTX 1650 in eight games. To do this, they launched these build options in Grand Theft Auto V, Rainbow Six Siege, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, Far Cry 6, Forza Horizon 5. 1080p games were tested.
Grand Theft Auto V averaged 37 fps (with RX 6400) and 52 fps (with GTX 1650) at very high settings, dropping to 29 fps and 37 fps respectively in very rare events.
Rainbow Six Siege came with an ultra preset. The average frame rate here was 168 fps with the RX 6400 and 160 fps with the GTX 1650. In extremely rare events, these figures dropped to 112 and 120 fps, respectively.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was launched with an ultra-high preset. On average, the game managed to get 28 fps and 30 fps (RX 6400 and GTX 1650), in very rare events – 12 and 21 fps.
In Red Dead Redemption 2 , the average FPS on ultra settings was 46 fps with the RX 6400 and 38 fps with the GTX 1650. In extremely rare events, performance was 31 fps and 28 fps.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla averaged 29 fps (RX 6400) and 32 fps (GTX 1650) on the high preset. In extremely rare events, the values were 12 fps and 11 fps, respectively.
Watch Dogs Legion was on high graphics settings. On average, you can get here with the RX 6400 – 45 fps, with the GTX 1650 – 46 fps, in very rare events – 27 fps in both cases.
Far Cry 6 with the ultra preset ran at an average of 51 fps (RX 6400) and 52 fps (GTX 1650). In extremely rare events, it dropped to 8 fps and 33 fps, respectively.
Forza Horizon 5 averaged 36 FPS (RX 6400) and 31 FPS (GTX 1650) on ultra settings, with very rare events dropping to 20 FPS and 25 FPS.
Conclusion
There is practically no difference between the RX 6400 and GTX 1650 in terms of average performance: in both cases it is 55 fps. At the same time, in very rare events, the average was higher for the GTX 1650 by 23 percent: 38 fps versus 31 fps.
