Every gamer must have heard of the Corsair brand. This is a popular company specializing in gaming peripherals. Recently, the company broke into a new niche by releasing its first laptop – Corsair Voyager A1600.
The laptop is equipped with a 16-inch screen with a resolution of 2560 by 1600 pixels. It is made using IPS technology, is updated at a frequency of 240 Hz and supports AMD FreeSync technology.
The Voyager A1600 processor is a 6nm AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS equipped with 8 cores and 16 threads. A second version will also be available, which is based on the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS with a similar architecture, but has twice as much RAM – 32 GB versus 16 GB. For data storage in both cases, a 1 TB SSD is used.
Voyager A1600 received a discrete graphics card AMD Radeon RX 6800M, the power of which is more than enough for demanding games. Of course, Corsair equipped the laptop with a mechanical keyboard on Cherry MX switches, and a functional touchpad was installed a little higher (hello, MacBook Pro). The laptop weighs 2.4 kilograms, and its dimensions are 356 x 286.7 x 19.9 mm.
In addition, the novelty has a complete set of interfaces for connecting peripherals. Two Type-C ports are available at once, a minijack, Thunderbolt 4, classic USB and an SD memory card slot. Internet connection is provided by Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2 is responsible for communication with wireless devices. All this is powered by a 99Wh battery with 230W fast charging.
Voyager A1600 with Ryzen 7 6800HS processor was priced at 3,299 euros, while the top-end variant with Ryzen 9 6900HS costs a little more – 3,699 euros.
