Christina Maria Aguilera She was born on December 18, 1980 in New York. American singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, record producer, and philanthropist.

Christina Aguilera was born on December 18, 1980 in Staten Island, New York City. Father – Fausto Wagner Javier, Sergeant of the US Armed Forces. Mother – Shelley Lorraine Fidler, Spanish teacher.

She was a professional violinist and pianist who performed with the Youth Symphony Orchestra. The younger sister is Rachel.

Early life 

When Christina was 7 years old, her parents divorced. At the age of 8, Christina performed in the Star Search young talent competition with Whitney Houston ‘s song “The Greatest Love of All“, but took second place.

Three years later, she was invited to sing the US national anthem at a sports game in Pittsburgh, where she lived at the time. In 1992, she became a member of the popular TV show “The Mickey Mouse Club”.

Here her paths first crossed with Britney Spears , Jessica Simpson and Justin Timberlake . Due to the fact that she had to pursue her career, she left school in the 8th grade and completed her education as an external student.

Rise to fame

Two years later, Aguilera began touring. She went to Japan, where she met the famous performer Keizo Nakanishi. Together they recorded the song “All I Wanna Do“.

In the same year, she performed at the Golden Stag festival in Romania. In 1998, the singer was hired by Disney to sing the song “Reflection” for the animated film Mulan.

The composition immediately hit the list of the fifteen best singles, and the record was also nominated for the Golden Globe. Thanks to this, the singer signed a contract with RCA Records.

The second single, “What a Girl Wants”, became one of the biggest selling singles of that year. In 1999, on Christmas Eve, she performed at a gala concert held at the White House.
