According to Chinese experts, Starlink is a system that can not only transmit high-speed Internet around the world with low signal delay, but also use it as a weapon.
It is noted that these satellites are equipped with ion engines, which allows them to be used as a ram to destroy other satellites.
And since Musk’s satellites are located in low orbits and tens of thousands are needed to ensure the required quality of communication, it is pointless to fight them with rockets.
Therefore, China needs new technologies – to track Starlink satellites, film their equipment, and functionality.
Also, Chinese experts propose to develop technologies and equipment for the hard destruction of satellites – with the help of a laser and soft – with the help of electronic warfare.
All this is due to the potential danger of the Starlink system to the security of China and the fact that SpaceX has signed a contract with the Pentagon to develop technology to track hypersonic missiles in the Earth’s atmosphere.
“Experts estimate that U.S. military drones and stealth combat aircraft will be able to transmit data 100 times faster through this system. In addition, SpaceX has entered into an agreement with the United States Department of Defense to develop new technology on the Starlink platform. It should track hypersonic missiles in the earth’s atmosphere,” the article says.
