There are only a few days left before the presentation of the new iPhone model, and more and more information about the upcoming new product appears on the Internet. An anonymous MacRumors source shared interesting information regarding the notch on the iPhone 14 screen, and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman confirmed these data.
The “older” iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models will have two separate cutouts at the top of the display, but Apple will combine them programmatically by turning off the pixels in the space between the holes. Visually, you will get a single elongated cutout, which will not be so striking to the owner.
The source also said that Apple may expand the darkened area around the cutouts. For example, add a little space on the left and right to place status icons there: network signal, time, battery level. As for the space between the holes, there will be microphone and camera activation indicators.
But the basic models of the iPhone 14 will not receive a single cutout, they will retain the classic “monobrow”. To what extent the above information is true, we will find out on September 7 at the official presentation from Apple.
