It just so happened that Chinese (and not only) companies have been regularly plagiarizing Apple’s ideas and decisions for many years. Recall, at least, Xiaomi Mi 8, which has become an almost complete visual copy of the iPhone X.
However, the opposite situation has now begun to occur. The new iOS 16, presented recently, has acquired flexible lock screen settings, as well as a set of animated wallpapers for it. The attention of users was attracted by wallpapers on the theme of the Earth, which are very similar to those that appeared back in 2020 in MIUI 12 from Xiaomi.
This has been the subject of numerous jokes that Apple is copying Xiaomi. The head of Nothing, Karl Pei, also did not stand aside, also pointing out the similarity of the new iOS 16 with MIUI.
And this is not the first case: the splash screen of Apple’s October 2021 presentation, which introduced AirPods 3 and the new MacBook Pro, turned out to be very similar to Xiaomi’s poster from 2018, inviting to the presentation of the Mi Mix 2S model:
