Apple began testing iPhone with USB-C, accessories are in line

Despite Apple’s great reluctance to abandon the Lightning connector in the iPhone, which brings huge profits on the sale of chargers and cables, under pressure from the European Union, the company continues to take new steps towards a more modern and faster USB-C.

According to well-known expert Mark Gurman, Apple has already begun testing iPhones with USB-C connectors, which is confirmed by a tweet by authoritative analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who last week spoke about the Cupertino plans to introduce USB-C in the 2023 iPhone.

Moreover, already today he supplemented his words with the fact that apple accessories, including AirPods, MagicKeyboard / Mouse, MagSafe and others, will also be transferred to the new connector.

By the way, one cannot fail to mention the fact that the EU authorities rejected Apple’s claims that forcing the transition to a single standard “USB-C will kill innovation”, saying that they are ready to accept a more advanced standard as soon as it is created. But, alas, Apple has nothing to offer yet, and therefore the iPhone 15 will almost certainly switch to USB-C.
