Anker has introduced a new PowerCore 24K GaN power bank . The key feature of the model is its impressive capacity, as well as high charging power, which allows you to use the device to power not only phones and accessories, but also laptops.
The 24,000 mAh battery can deliver up to 140 W of current using the Power Delivery 3.1 protocol. The manufacturer claims that PowerCore 24K GaN charges the MacBook from 0 to 50% in just 40 minutes. True, this speed is available only for two Type-C ports. In the case of classic USB, it is limited to only 18 watts.
Another feature of the gadget is the display, which displays the current power at each connector, the remaining battery life and the device charging time up to 100%. The screen consumes the power of the bank, so it is activated at the touch of a button and automatically goes into standby mode after a while.
Anker PowerCore 24K GaN will be priced at $150. There is a caveat – the package does not include a Type-C wire with Power Delivery 3.1 support, so you will have to buy it separately.
