Function being tested

The source said that Google is testing the snore and cough detection feature on Android smartphones, specifically Pixel models.

Google Health Studies has been updated this week. In his code, they found lines on the Sleep Audio Collection function. For now, this option is only available to Google employees.

Its essence is that the smartphone records sounds while you sleep. The program will monitor a person’s cough and snoring. It is reported that confidentiality will be maintained.

It’s unclear if snore and cough detection will be a feature for all Android smartphones or exclusive to Pixel models. It is also unknown when the option will become available to regular users.

Google and Samsung also recently teamed up to create Health Connect, a platform for syncing user health data between Android apps and fitness devices.
