It will be good for budget devices

AMD has announced that the company’s processors will be used in 200 different laptop models in 2022.

In addition, the company announced Mendocino chips at Computex 2022, with which it will try to make laptops “budget machines with decent battery life.”

The new series of Ryzen laptop processors, which will combine the latest generation of four Zen 2 cores with the latest RDNA 2 graphics, will reportedly be able to provide more than 10 hours of battery life on a single charge.

These laptops will cost between $399 and $699. Both Windows devices and Chromebooks are expected.

“Most people are used to four, five, six hours on a laptop in the $399 to $699 range,” AMD CMO Robert Hallock said. “We want at least 10 hours.”
