Adobe has begun testing a free web version of Photoshop in Canada, where users can access it through their Adobe account.
The company describes the service as freemium, which means that in the future it plans to add features to it that will be available only for a subscription, but the basic functionality should remain free. According to an Adobe representative, this will help everyone interested in the product to get acquainted with its capabilities.
The online version of Photoshop was launched in October 2021, a very simplified version of the desktop software that has basic editing functions. Since then, Adobe has gradually added new features and now intends to change the model of its use, eliminating the mandatory subscription. True, it has not yet been reported when the free version of Photoshop will spread outside of Canada.
